Brushing your teeth is the easiest and most effective way to prevent oral health issues such as tooth decay and infection. It can also help prevent gum disease and even assist in keeping teeth bright and attractive. With all of the benefits offered by this simple act, it’s a wonder most of us don’t do it more often. Why not resolve, in 2015, to make brushing your teeth a bigger priority?
Many of us brush once in the morning and once at night. This is certainly not a bad schedule, but it’s not the most effective one either. If you are accustomed to brushing morning and night, try adding an extra brush in the early to mid-afternoon as well. This one addition can easily lend itself – with some discipline – to brushing after every meal and snack, and brushing after every meal and snack is ideal. As with any change in habit, this may take some getting used to, but once routine is established, the benefits can last for a lifetime.
