The Woodlands and Houston, TX

In preparation for your dental implant surgery, Houston dentist Dr. Scott Young will need to perform a thorough examination of your teeth and jaw. This will include initial x-rays as well as an eventual CAT scan to allow Dr. Young to ensure your implants are inserted in their optimal location. Following the initial preparation, Dr. Young will customize your treatment plan to ensure we are meeting your unique needs.

Being Prepared

The placement of dental implants is a surgical procedure and should be approached as such. You should arrange for a ride to and from our office and arrive early to fill out any remaining paperwork. Make sure to wear something comfortable to your appointment.

It is a good idea to fill all prescriptions prior to your procedure. It is also a good idea to create an area in which you can comfortably rest following your procedure. Dental implant surgery will not put you out of commission for long, but you want to be comfortable during the one to two days it may take to resume normal tasks. All of this will be discussed with you in full during your Houston dental implants planning phase.
